So what is SEO?
Well it stands for Search Engine Optimisation.
Basically it is doing things to your website to help Google and other Search engines prioritise your website when someone searches certain terms online.
It comes down to 2 things: Relevance and Authority.
First: Relevance, can search engines and people read your website easily? Is the content good enough and relevant to your products/services. Does it make sense?
Secondly: Authority. Is your website trusted by search engines? Are other people linking to your website? Are you on directories?
SEO is doing a bunch of good things to your website consistently and patiently to build trust & relevance. SEO takes time and it is not a quick fix. And of course, it does take a good investment. You may see the cost of these things and think, I cant afford that, but are you willing to invest back into your own business to generate sales without having to use Pay per Click? (details will be coming in another blog about this).
Websites are living things, you need to take care of them, you need to promote them. They don’t generate income just sitting around!
Would you put a billboard in a desert?
If the answer is no, then it is time to start looking into improving your website’s SEO.
